For one of our customer, we are currently looking for a Site Engineer
Position: Consultant
Starting date: ASAP
Location: Belgium
Job purpose:
The CEI Engineer is responsible to design, build and adapt our access network in a cost controlled and balanced way, respecting legal and safety obligations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Design:
Participate in Technical Review visits to check the feasibility of proposed candidate sites collecting all information required for site construction by interviewing the owners of the premises or their representatives, architects and the Radio Frequency Engineers. Respect all requirements with regards to quality, cost, safety and building permit in the selection of solutions.
Collect all the remarks of the ATD involved parties in order to set up correct design plans
Construction:
Draw up an Execution file in cooperation with architect respecting safety directives.
Invite contractors to submit quotes for site construction.
Appoint the contractor respecting both budget and quality requirments.
Order all the needed equipments/materials, the 2MBline and the power.
Prepare the contractor handover document
Follow the construction of the projects by visiting the different sites.
Assist to the provisional acceptance; archive and check the as-build file and the PID. Close the PO which are delivered.
Follow up continuously the budget on project base in order to adjust the budget.
Reduce the delta between forecast and actuals as much as possible.
The engineer has the E2E responsibility of his projects (design, budget, construction, time to market, quality, etc)
Capacity Upgrades:
Visit different sites together with Fixed line and subco in order to design how extra capacity of leased lines can be provided in function of the demand (fiber, EFM, µwave)
Evaluate reports and offers in order to come to a cost-efficient solution
Work together with local cluster construction engineer and negotiation expert to have limited perturbation of the landlord.
Use appropriate tools to have a correct follow-up.

Skills and Experience required:
Education: Civil Engineer/Industrial Engineer or equivalent by experience.
Experience: More than 3 years of experience in construction or in Mobile Telecom.
Ability to apply engineering principles / theories to various construction trades.
Ability to represent our customer’s interest during negotiations, to monitor costs, handle potential claims, change orders, time extensions and other problems.
Ability to review project work performed by engineers; ability to assist colleagues in reviewing quantities, costs, accuracy of specs, completeness, constructability, etc.
Ability to hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Physical ability to visit network infrastructure, including roof mounted installations.
Skilled in Microsoft Access, including database querying and Microsoft Excel.
Languages: Good knowledge (written and oral) of Dutch, French & English.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
