Product research and development team is looking for a Quality Engineering Manager for our product suite. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of successful, cutting-edge products by working with other highly talented engineers.
You will be responsible for the overall quality of developed software applications through execution of all aspects of the Quality Assurance (QA) lifecycle. You will play a major role in every phase of the software patches and major release development life cycle, from requirements definitions, release schedule through to deployment.
You will recommend, and implement software QA policies and procedures between development team and other departments.
You will be responsible for planning and risk analysis of QA activities, communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written format; write accurate and detailed tests plans, cases, reports and ongoing and comprehensive quality assurance documents as well as the test process itself.
Ultimately you will be responsible for ensuring all product components conform to the established technical, operational and performance requirements and for creating a cohesive, collaborative work environment for the QA staff.
You will:
* Submit, maintain and follow-up through to resolution, on all reported software and documentation defects using established defect control system
* Oversee the deployment of new builds on quality assurance environment
* Streamline the testing process by introducing automation
* Establish and maintain departmental polices, procedures and goals
* Allocate and coordinate departmental resources
* Be responsible for collecting and summarizing departmental metrics, activities, concerns and other information to the rest of the organization
* Perform resource planning; ensure staffing requirements are met
* Maintain an up to date detailed QA schedule
* Maintain an up to date Bug Model (plan vs. actual)
* Prioritize bugs and assignments by participating in the bug scrub meetings
* Increase efficiencies through automation, use of standard templates, etc…
* Create the ship readiness report for every release prior to shipping the product
