Under the direction of the PMO, this role is to provide leadership and supervision to an IT department responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining information technology initiatives.
This role is about:
•Establishing and enforcing policies, processes and tools for project management.
•Acting as an effective liaison between the business departments, the GPE steering committee, the GPE project & support teams and the external vendors providing IT related services.

Major tasks:

•Implementing Project Management best practices:
•Design project management frameworks, reporting & dashboards
•Implement the defined processes, organisation as well as guidelines, norms and standards,
•Customise and document processes in the above areas,
•Train and support project teams.
•Running Project Management Office:
•Ensure quality standards are met during the whole project life-cycle,
•Assemble project plans within a larger department macro-plan identifying resource requirements and formalizing staffing decisions,
•Develop and follow department budget,
•Assemble department dashboard with project progress,
•Assemble issue lists across projects and oversees resolution.
